The countdown is on!

Well, with a little over 2 weeks to go before my departure, I'm stating to get the jitters! It's all very exciting, it's something I've wanted and known I would do the minute I got off the plane from my trip to Tanzania last year, but now that it's so close and actually happening, it feels a little more nerve-wracking!

So to get me in the mood, I've just started a book recommended to me by Christine (of course), called Dark Star Safari (safari meaning "trip" in Swahili by the way, nothing to do with animals!), a story about Paul Theroux's long journey from Egypt through the Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique to South Africa.

Thanks again for everyone's donations! I now have a full backpack with extra stuff to bring to Rosmin and his family, as well as all the generous donations that just keep on coming! Thanks for your support!!!

Un montant inespéré... $1750!!!

Wow! I think I spent 2 hours calculating and recalculating the amount, just to make sure that it was correct!

Thank you so much to everyone for your immense support and generosity. Je voudrais aussi dire un merci tout particulier à Stéphane et Jonathan (mes co-grimpeurs Kilimajariens de l'année passée) pour leur aide dans le perfectionnement de mon speech. And talking about my speech, I would also like to thank Mum and Dad for their guidance, and of course Constance and Pete for their... particlular participation!
