Well, with a little over 2 weeks to go before my departure, I'm stating to get the jitters! It's all very exciting, it's something I've wanted and known I would do the minute I got off the plane from my trip to Tanzania last year, but now that it's so close and actually happening, it feels a little more nerve-wracking!
So to get me in the mood, I've just started a book recommended to me by Christine (of course), called Dark Star Safari (safari meaning "trip" in Swahili by the way, nothing to do with animals!), a story about Paul Theroux's long journey from Egypt through the Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique to South Africa.
Thanks again for everyone's donations! I now have a full backpack with extra stuff to bring to Rosmin and his family, as well as all the generous donations that just keep on coming! Thanks for your support!!!

Un montant inespéré... $1750!!!
Wow! I think I spent 2 hours calculating and recalculating the amount, just to make sure that it was correct!
Thank you so much to everyone for your immense support and generosity. And talking about my speech, I would also like to thank Mum and Dad for their guidance, and of course Constance and Pete for their... particlular participation!

Wine & cheese
On Thursday April 30th, I'll be hosting a wine and cheese at my place in order to raise funds for the Rolinaan foster home. It will begin at 6pm. A donation of $30 person is suggested, and all profits will go directly to the children in Tanzania. If you are interested in attending, and I haven't had the chance to send you directly the information, please don't hesitate to contact me, I would love to have you join the party!

News from Rosmin

Here we go again!
During my trip, I met a couple, Rosmin and Paulina, that really touched my heart because they not only toiled to support their own children, but also greeted 25 street children into their home. They are able to offer the love these children need to grow, however they must struggle daily in order to give them the food, shelter and an education they desperatly need.
